When holding an event different from the one described in the plan submitted with the application, permission to use the venue may be restricted in the future in accordance with 'Article 6 (Permission to Use or Restriction of Use) and Article 9 (Cancellation and Suspension of the Permission to Use) of the Seoul Special City Ordinance on the Use and Management of Gwanghwamun Square.

How to Apply
  • To apply for permits to use Gwanghwamun Square, Send below e-mail.
  • If you are a corporate business operator, also attach a (scanned) copy of your business license.

CommonObservation of General Terms and Special Terms Regarding Permission to Use

  • After sending an e-mail, check by phone (+82-2-2133-7732).
  • We will review the application you submitted and notify you whether or not permission is granted.

Charges and Approval

  • Charges applied when the permission is granted (Area of Use: Center 1,700㎡, North 2,300㎡)
  • Attention : A safety passage for citizens must be included in the area of use. The area charged (area of use) does not necessarily match the area to be occupied by the event.
  • Decided through the Citizen Council’s review on event approval depending on the case
